Ground beef and summer shares
Our ground beef was returning the following week, at $8.50 per pound in approximately 1.5 pound packages. With April shares sold out, reservations for July and August beef had opened.
We plan our beef months ahead. Reservations help us decide how many cattle to finish for customers, stock feed, schedule processing, and care for our herd responsibly.
Beef, land, and stewardship
Our work is about both raising beef and caring for the land that feeds our cattle. Thoughtful grazing can return nutrients to the soil, support grass growth, reduce wildfire fuel, and keep working land in agriculture.
Beef knowledge: Chuck roast
Chuck roast comes from the shoulder. Its marbling and connective tissue make it especially flavorful when cooked low and slow. As collagen softens and fat renders, the roast becomes tender enough to shred for sandwiches, birria tacos, French dips, enchiladas, burritos, BBQ sliders, or beef bowls.
From our family
While our older boys were away, our two younger boys were taking on more responsibility at the ranch. They were riding more independently and learning that long saddle days call for snacks, mama cows deserve respect, animals need care every day, and hard work makes dinner taste better.
Thank you for supporting our ranch and trusting us to help feed your family.
